The SCHEELS Earth Day Half Marathon Run has grown from an idea to a first class running event which attracts over 4,500 runners to the city of St. Cloud, MN and the campus of St. Cloud State University.
The event is a 501c3 organization that supports community and student based programs offered by St. Cloud State Campus Recreation.
During the event, St. Cloud Subaru will be sponsoring the St. Cloud Subaru 5K Run and the St. Cloud Subaru 5K Corporate Challenge!
St. Cloud Subaru 5K Run - A Friday night tradition, the 5K starts and finishes at the campus of SCSU and gives runners and walkers alike the chance to strut their stuff. Some use it as a warm-up for Saturday’s race, and for others, it is THE race that gets them back into the swing of Spring!
St. Cloud Subaru 5K Corporate Challenge - The Earth Day Run and St. Cloud Subaru is partnering with the St. Cloud Area YMCA to put together a Corporate Challenge Event in conjunction with ING 5K Run/Walk on Friday. The Corporate Challenge promotes Health and Wellness among area businesses. The event provides businesses the opportunity to compete against other area businesses and within there own companies to encourage health and wellness. This is a great opportunity to kick off the spring for your business. Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 placing teams and there will be additional merchandise given to Corporate Challenge team members beyond the standard T-Shirt and Bag that all competitors will receive.
